VIBEZ SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED
Sunday 9. June

Sunday, June 9th, in the small hours of the morning, the first edition of the VIBEZ Openair ended with a musical firework made of EDM and techno. International DJs such as Lost Frequencies, Steve Aoki and Robin Schulz thrilled visitors on the third day of the festival. With a total of 32,000 visitors and an impressive programme, VIBEZ Openair celebrated a successful first edition and wishes to continue the adventure next year with artists of the moment.

As an Openair newcomer, the VIBEZ proved that it has arrived directly in the league of the big Swiss Openairs. Innovative, unique, crazy – that was the motto of the first edition. Among the highlights were the spectacular line-up and a specially developed app. The music genres Reggaeton & Pop, Hip Hop & Urban and EDM & Techno met the demands of four different target groups during three days. The VIBEZ App, which covered everything from ticketing to on-site payment, also received extremely positive feedback from visitors. On the last Openair day, the VIBEZ App even took 3rd place in the Entertainment section of the App Store. For the first time, app users of the app had free access to six new radios with interactive features. Another big highlight was the surprise appearance of the Dutch EDM duo W&W, who took over the spot of their compatriot Afrojack, who was not able to attend the Openair for personal reasons. Thanks to the provided tents in the camping hostel, the dismantling went quickly and smoothly – without any unnecessary bulky waste.

"Great potential for the future"

The organizers were very satisfied with the realization of the first edition of the VIBEZ Openair. Especially the infrastructure and the line-up were very well received by the festival-goers. The performances of artists such as J Balvin on Thursday, rappers Kool Savas and Sean Paul on Friday and international DJs such as Steve Aoki on Saturday created a lively atmosphere. The organizers have fulfilled their vision of a futuristic open-air festival with an international character. "The festival-goers returned an extremely positive feedback. There were many hurdles in the run-up, which we have now successfully overcome. I am proud of my team and grateful for the great feedback from the festival-goers. This motivates us to continue to drive the VIBEZ Openair forward. That was just the beginning," said Daniel Meili, project leader of the VIBEZ Openair. About 32,000 visitors celebrated the three open-air days on the grounds of the Tissot Arena. With this result and a smooth process, the organizers are optimistic that a second edition of the VIBEZ Openair will be held next year.
